Love Theoretically

“Love Theoretically” by Ali Hazelwood is about a Theoretical physicist Elsie Hannaway, a part-time professor, drudging away at grading labs and teaching thermodynamics with dreams of landing tenure. With her “weekend” job, Elsie makes up for her chump change by offering her services as a fake girlfriend, people-pleasing her way to client needs. It’s not a bad hustle until her carefully constructed world reaches a breaking point. Because Jack Smith, the attractive but annoying older brother of her favorite client, reveals himself to be the experimental physicist who ruined her former mentor’s career. The actions of Jack have damaged the careers of many and tarnished the reputation of theorists. Unfortunately, Jack now sits on the hiring committee at MIT, which poses a challenge for Elsie in pursuing her dream job. She is ready to engage in fierce academic competition. but…those long, lascivious looks may have gotten the best of her? I have found “Love Theoretically” to be quite charming. This would be a great recommendation for your besties to read as well! It had plenty of geeky science jokes, humorous student emails, and snarky banter that was expertly delivered and will keep your nose in the book.

Your’s Truly

Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez, Paperback | Barnes & Noble®

“Your’s Truly“ by Abby Jimenez is about an unexpected love story of two doctors. Dr. Briana Ortiz’s life is going into shambles. Her brother’s running out of time to find a kidney donor, she is seeking out a promotion that will probably end up going to the new man Doctor, and her divorce is getting finalized. But just when all systems are set to destruction Briana received a letter from Dr. Jacob Maddox, which completely changed the game. I have to say, the letter is truly genuine. It completely debunks any idea that Jacob could be linked to the devil. Worse, he might be a likable guy who’s terrible at first impressions but is remarkably funny. As they are suddenly exchanging letters, sharing lunch dates, and exploring each other’s quirks. Jacob decides to give Briana the best gift imaginable and she willingly returns the favor. This book recommendation has been the most enjoyable read for me!
